On Sunday, Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas put forth a stellar, emotional performance just a day after his sister, Chyna, died in a single car crash in Washington state.
It wasn’t clear until close to tip that Thomas would even play and when he did, he scored 33 points and dished out 6 assists in front of a Celtics crowd that was almost emotional as him .
On Monday, LeBron James commented on Thomas’ performance at the Cavs’ shootaround. James offered his condolences to Thomas and his family and called his performance “unbelievable.” Here’s his full comments as posted to Twitter by ESPN Celtics reporter Chris Forsberg via ESPN Cavs reporter Dave McMenamin:

There’s not really a ton else to say here. Thomas’ performance in the wake of tragedy that visibly shook him. It’s general just cool to see stars reach out other stars like this during the most competitive part of the NBA season.
