As the series shifts to Indianapolis, the Cleveland Cavaliers have a good chance to go up 3-0 on the Pacers. And for the series to get interesting, it feels as if the Pacers have to make moves that force the Cavs to adjust.
But what are those moves? Does it involve moving Thad Young down to the five for stretches? Do it involve inserting Lance Stephenson into the starting lineup? Or something else? And, in turn, how will the Cavs respond? Perhaps we’ll see LeBron James slide down to the five for the first time this series. If Young does slide down to the five, the Cavs going super small feels like the ultimate counter.
Also, look for J.R. Smith’s status to confirmed one way or the other closer to tipoff. For now, he is listed as questionable.
