The WNBA released a video Monday featuring a number of NBA stars saying why they watch the WNBA. In the video, players such as Cavs guard Kyrie Irving, Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Wolves forward Karl-Anthony Towns say why they are going to watch the WNBA’s stars put in work this summer.
“Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi,” Irving says.
Legends Bird and Taurasi are part of the league’s top storylines this year. Others include No. 1 pick and NCAA all-time leading scorer Kelsey Plum starting her pro career in San Antonio, Elena Delle Donne playing her first season with the Washington Mystics and the LA Sparks, lead by MVP Nneke Ogumike and WNBA Finals MVP Candace Parker, defending their crown.
You can watch the video below. The WNBA’s season kicks off on May 13.
