LeBron James’ California home targeted in hate crime

James’ home was spray-painted with a racial slur.

Last night LeBron James’ house in Los Angeles was targeted in a hate crime. It does not appear that either James or his family were at the California house, as the team arrived in Oakland yesterday ahead of Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The news of the crime was first reported by TMZ.

Here is the report from TMZ:

An L.A. home owned by LeBron James was the target of a hate crime -- someone spray painted the n-word on the front gate and detectives are now investigating, cops tell TMZ Sports.

Here's what we know ... multiple LAPD units and a neighborhood patrol vehicle responded to the home early Wednesday morning. We're told the word was scrawled on the outer gate.

We're told investigators are looking for security footage from neighbors which may show the perpetrator.

Hopefully whoever did this is found quickly and brought to justice. It’s disgusting that racism and intolerance are still so prevalent within society. This is just an example of how even celebrities are not immune to it.
