4 Team Trade: Kyrie to Knicks, Melo to Houston (HOU/NY/CLE/MIL)

Got the idea for this deal from AlbertLef over on BrewHoop. I didn't think his deal worked for Cleveland or Milwaukee though, so I edited it and came up with this

https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/6930507

Notes: NY gets MIL 2018 1st, DR to Sir’Dominique Pointer (CLE) & Alessandro Gentile (HOU)
MIL gets DR to Isaiah Hartenstein

Cleveland’s Haul is pretty good here: Willy, Ariza, Gordon, Lee, & Delly. They hold all the power, since Kyrie is the asset in this deal.

New York does have to give up Willy & Ntilikina, but they keep their pick & gain Milwaukee’s. Here, they give up a decent, but if I’m NY I get Kyrie and figure things out later. It’ll take a long time to have cap space with the bad deals (Joakim Noah) but who won’t want to play in the Big Apple with Kyrie & Kristaps? I’m also throwing them draft rights to two decent INTL players, & 2 guys with some potential (though not a ton) in Vaughn & Felder to make it work. This also saves them $11M against the cap this year

--> Note: If Willy is really off limits, the deal can be adjusted where O'Quinn & NY's 2018 FRP go to Cleveland instead. Milwaukee's pick goes to Cleveland in that scenario instead of NY, and Cleveland keeps the draft rights to Pointer.

Houston gets Melo & dumps Anderson without giving up a ton. Pretty straightforward. They’ll still always be able to have 3-5 shooters on the floor at once, since two of their backup bigs (Mirza, Qi) can shoot. A starting five of Paul, Harden, Tucker, Melo, & Capela is downright scary.

Milwaukee is taking some very tradeable bad contracts for a totally handicapping bad contract, so they need something significant. They get Ntilinka & Hartenstein, which is a little high, so they give up their pick.

Let me know what you guys think!
