The Cavs’ G-League affiliate is hosting its annual open tryout in a little over a month.

The Canton Charge, the Cavs’ G-League affiliate, have announced that they are hosting their annual open tryout on Sept. 23 in Canton. The tryout will be held at the McKinley Memorial Field House from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

At the tryout, attendees will be evaluated by members of both the Cavaliers and Charge front offices. From the release:

Staff members from both the Charge and Cleveland Cavaliers will be on hand to evaluate participants using drills designed to test conditioning, individual skills and basketball acumen. Players will then be broken into various groups for game simulated play and extended evaluation. Those who compete in the tryout are eligible to earn a direct invite to Charge training camp without having to declare for the 2017 NBA G League Draft. There is no minimum or maximum amount of training camp invites that can be offered from open tryouts.

Only the first 75 applicants who register and pay the $100 fee can participate. The deadline to register is Friday, Sept. 22. Those interested can do so by clicking here.
