LeBron James - who knows a thing or two about having his jersey burned by angry fans - took to Twitter on Thursday to call out Celtics fans who burned Isaiah Thomas’ jersey after Thomas was traded to the Cavaliers. James called it “ridiculous” and cited Thomas playing in a playoff game the day after his sister unexpectedly died as part as of the reason why.

What James is pointing out here is fan hypocrisy. Fans are more than happy to jeer a player when they want him gone, but when a player leaves - even one didn’t even close to leave like Thomas - it’s suddenly the player’s fault and insane that any player leaves a team ever.
