Happy Monday, everyone. Today, we’re here to catch you up on the biggest Cavs story of the summer.
Yesterday, we learned that the Cavs asked about adding Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to the deal, but were rebuffed and are likely looking for another first round pick. We also learned that Boston only wants to include a second round pick.
Then, this morning, Cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon reported that the Cavs have not asked the Celtics for any extra compensation. So, basically, we all know nothing.
Per a source, as of yesterday afternoon the Cavs had made no request to Boston for more on Kyrie-IT trade

At SB Nation NBA, Matt Ellentuck has everything you need to know about Isaiah Thomas’ hip. Also at SB Nation NBA, Tim Cato runs down assets the Cavs could ask the Celtics for. For what it’s worth, I think the Cavs want a pick over any player. Also at SB Nation, Cato gives a overview of the situation.
And in non-basketball news, The Athletic’s Travis Sawchik wonders if rest would help the Cleveland baseball team.
