Starting tomorrow, LeBron James will be hosting his annual workouts in Santa Barbara for his Cavs teammates.
According to cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon, point guard Isaiah Thomas will attend the workout, although he won’t be able to participate due to his hip. The entire roster is expected to be in attendance, as will coach Tyronn Lue and his entire staff. The coaches, however, will be there to watch and not directly lead the workouts.
The Cavs held their preseason workouts last year in Santa Barbara as well when J.R. Smith, in the middle of a contract negotiation, missed workouts. At this time, it’s unclear how many days the workouts will go for. Training camp opens a week from today on Monday, Sept. 25.
LeBron has already been in California working out with Kevin Love at UCLA.
Expect to see a lot of these workouts on social media and to get a glimpse at the Cavs’ team-wide prep for the 2017-18 season.
