After reaching a buyout with the Chicago Bulls, Dwyane Wade has entered free agency, and the Cavaliers are considered to be a front runner to obtain his services for the 2017-18 season. That sounds pretty good to LeBron James.

"I would love to have D-Wade as a part of this team. I think he brings another championship DNA, championship pedigree. It brings another playmaker to the team who can get guys involved and make plays and also has a great basketball mind. I think it would be great to have him here, and obviously our front office has done some great things throughout this summer. I’ve talked to D-Wade throughout the whole summer, and I will probably reach out to him as well, but it’s not really up to me, it’s kind of up to D-Wade . . . I hope we can bring him here, I would love to have him.”
LeBron made it clear that it wasn’t ultimately his decision on whether to add Wade, and obviously Wade has to choose to come. It’s no surprise that Wade has James’ endorsement, though. They did win two titles together, after all.
