Cavaliers rookie center Ante Zizic has been assigned to the Cavs G-League affiliate Canton Charge since January 2, but the team announced today that they’ve recalled Zizic to the main roster.
Zizic played in two games with the Charge during his assignment. Against the Wisconsin Herd, he dropped 18 points and eight rebounds in just 21 minutes of action in a 128-126 loss on 8-11 shooting from the field.
Against the Westchester Knicks, Zizic had a quieter outing. He scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds on 4-9 shooting from the field. He also managed two assists while blocking two shots in the 95-90 loss for the Charge.
Zizic has appeared in 11 games for the Cavaliers this season while averaging 3.5 minutes per game in mostly garbage time while averaging 1.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in those minutes.
The Cavaliers host the Warriors on Monday night as they look to end a three-game losing streak.
