Isaiah Thomas hadn’t played all season for the Cleveland Cavaliers as he recovered from a hip injury, but that all changed against the Portland Trail Blazers, as Thomas made his debut. Take a look at the reception that Cavs fans gave Thomas:

It’s nice to see Thomas get such a warm welcome. He’s been through a lot in the past year, and he clearly was very hurt by his trade from the Celtics to the Cavs this summer. He really embraced the Boston fanbase, and it appears Cleveland is intent on making him feel welcome in his new home.
Thomas opened the game shooting 3-6 from the field while dishing an assist to Jae Crowder out of the pick and roll. He also took a hard fall early while attempting to knife into the lane, but bounced up right away.
Thomas came off the bench, and will be on a minutes limit in the short term for the Cavs.
