Dwyane Wade misses shootaround for personal matter, status TBD vs Pacers

Dwyane Wade may not suit up against Indiana.

The Cavaliers could use all the help they can get, but it appears that they could go without Dwyane Wade against the Indiana Pacers on Friday night.

Wade was reportedly excused from shootaround, via Cleveland.com, to attend to a personal matter. Wade’s status against the Pacers is officially to be determined.

The Cavs could use a full roster, but in terms of bench composition, the Cavaliers might find themselves some more space. They’ll be working Tristan Thompson back into the starting lineup, which means that Derrick Rose, who would conceivably take over point guard duties, will be playing with more shooters in the second unit.

Wade is clearly a better player than Rose at this junction, and Tyronn Lue may be better served to just excise one (Rose) from the rotation altogether. In the meantime, it appears the two will continue to share the floor in second units despite the spacing problems that poses.

We’ll see if Wade is able to make it into the lineup on Friday night.
