While the Cavaliers faced the Celtics in Boston, Cavs rookie Ante Zizic was assignment with the Canton Charge. Coming off the bench against the Wisconsin Herd, Zizic scored 18 points on 8-11 shooting in 21 minutes. He also had eight rebounds and two assists in his sixth G-League appearance of the season.
The Charge, however, lost to the Herd 128-126 after Wisconsin outscored Canton by eight points in the fourth quarter and 70-50 overall in the second half. The loss drops the Charge to 8-13 on the season.
Caleb Swanigan lead Canton with 28 points and 15 rebounds and Marcus Thorton added 24 points. Cavs two-way player London Perrantes started at point guard and scored 11 points and dished out nine assists in 38 minutes.
Zizic, who turns 21 today, has yet to be recalled by the Cavs and could play tomorrow for Canton against the Westchester Knicks and still be recalled before Saturday’s Cavs game against the Magic.
