Here we go — the first Cavs game in the post-LeBron James era, take two. At least it’s kind of that.
Preseason basketball is not quite the real thing. The pace is a little bit slower, different lineups and sets are tried out perhaps to never be seen again and teams work to figure themselves out to some degree. For the Cavs, the preseason is likely about finding what is comfortable without LeBron, getting an early look at Kevin Love as the center of the franchise and how the likes of Collin Sexton and Cedi Osman look.
It’s also interesting that this game comes against the Celtics, albeit without Kyrie Irving, who is sitting out Tuesday’s game. They are expected to be the class of the East, perhaps the conference’s best shot at taking down the Warriors this year. It won’t exactly feel great if Boston beats down the Cavs tonight.
What are you watching for tonight?
