David Nwaba out vs. Wolves with sore knee

The Cavs are dealing with another injury.

The Cavs will be down another body Monday night against the Timberwolves.

Per the Cavs, David Nwaba will miss the game with a sore right knee. It will be the fourth game he has missed this season, but the first due to the injury; the other three were coach’s decisions.

This is a blow for the Cavs. Since getting a real chance to play, he’s turned into the team’s go-to defender and been the one guy on that end of the floor who can defend the oppositions best player. In the last week alone, he’s drawn LeBron James and James Harden and done well.

With Nwaba out, Cedi Osman will likely be used as Cleveland’s primary wing defender. It is unclear for now who will start in Nwaba’s place. If Larry Drew does back to his starting five before the Lakers game, then Larry Nance Jr. would be inserted in the start five. George Hill and Sam Dekker are still both listed as out, so they are not options.
