The Raptors were without four key players — Kyle Lowry, Danny Green, Jonas Valanciunas and Serge Ibaka — on Friday night against the Cavs. Not that it mattered for Cleveland.
Kawhi Leonard tied his season-high with 37 points and OG Anunoby tied his career high of 21 points in the Raptors’ 126-110 win over the Cavs. Jordan Clarkson led Cleveland with 20 points. Larry Nance Jr. added 16 points and 12 rebounds and Collin Sexton added 17 points. The loss drops the Cavs to 8-25 on the season.
In the loss, the Cavs suffered some injuries of their own. David Nwaba left the game in the second quarter and fouled to exit the game and head to the locker room. He said post game that he landed on a player’s ankle and would be fine. Rodney Hood noted that he was dealing with Achilles soreness, while Nance Jr. lost a tooth.
The Cavs next play on Sunday against the Bulls. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
