Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Houston Rockets player grades

Not a good night for anyone, really.

LeBron James: C-

LeBron almost had a triple-double, but didn’t shoot well and was lazy on defense.

Isaiah Thomas: D+

Thomas co-led the Cavs with 12 points, but missed all four of his three-point attempts, struggled on defense and didn’t get to the line as often as he has in recent games.

Tristan Thompson: D

Thompson had a few good moments, but was largely outplayed by Clint Capela and the Rockets’ other bigs. The miscues are not all on him, but he bears the brunt of the responsibility.

J.R. Smith: D+

Smith ended up finishing 3-9 from three, but missed a number of shots early and struggled on defense.

Jae Crowder: D+

Crowder was 2-3 from three, but didn’t rebound or defend all that well.

Kyle Korver: D+

Korver was just 1-4 from three in 14 minutes.

Channing Frye: D+

Frye rebounded well enough overall to have his bad shooting night render him useless.

Dwyane Wade: D+

Wade shot well enough, but didn’t offer much else on either end of the floor.

Derrick Rose: D

Rose finished 3-11 from the field and missed a number of shots at the rim.

Jeff Green: D+

Green was one the Cavs’ best players last time the Cavs and Rockets faced off. That was not the case this time around.

Cedi Osman and Jose Calderon: A

Played hard in garbage time, so that has to count for something!
