Per cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon, Cavs guard Dwyane Wade missed Tuesday morning’s shootaround due to an illness and Wade is now questionable for the Cavs’ game against the Magic:
Dwyane Wade is excused from shootaround this morning (illness) and is questionable for tonight. Lue already said Wade would probably sit tomorrow on second night of back to back
— Joe Vardon (@joevardon) February 6, 2018
As noted by Vardon, Wade was likely to sit tomorrow when the Cavs face the Wolves, so perhaps missing this game would mean he’s available on Wednesday.
If Wade does miss Tuesday’s game, it will also be worth seeing how the Cavs replace Wade’s minutes. Iman Shumpert is healthy, but hasn’t played as Cleveland attempts to trade him before Thursday’s trade deadline. If he doesn’t play, Kyle Korver could see more playing time, as could J.R. Smith. Rookie Cedi Osman could see a few fill-in minutes if Tyronn Lue so chooses.
