With today’s 3 p.m. deadline looming, the Cavaliers and Clippers are still discussing a potential DeAndre Jordan trade, reports ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Per Wojnarowski, the Cavs and Clippers are talking to potential third teams to help facilitate the deal.
Right now, it’s unclear who those third teams are or players would go out in the deal. The Cavs have been shopping J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert, Channing Frye and Tristan Thompson ahead of today’s deadline, and with Jordan making $22 million this season, it’s going to make multiple salaries for the Cavs to acquire Jordan. It’s also unclear at this time if the Cavs have changed their stance on not including the Nets pick in a deal for Jordan.
