The Cleveland Cavaliers will be down two players on Sunday against the Lakers, as both Cedi Osman and Rodney Hood will miss the game. Both left Friday’s game against the Clippers with injuries. Per ESPN’s Dave McMenamim, Jeff Green will start in Hood place’s and Osman will be undergoing an MRI. Osman said after Friday’s game that he heard a “pop” in his groin.
Ty Lue says both Cedi Osman and Rodney Hood are out tomorrow vs LAL. Jeff Green will start in Hood’s place.

Green’s insertion into the starting lineup is an interesting one for the Cavs. Teams have begun ignoring him when he’s floating on the perimeter, and he won’t provide the same spacing Hood (or Osman) did.
It’s also not yet known when Osman and Hood will return. Hood, per ESPN, will not undergo any imaging, but Osman is. It’s possible both could be out beyond Sunday and for at least part of the rest of the Cavs’ road trip.
Hood played just seven minutes on Friday before leaving the game. Osman started the second half in place of Hood, but left late in the third quarter and did not return.
