You can add Kyle Korver to the list of Cavaliers dealing with some type of injury.
Per cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon, Korver says he has been dealing a right foot bruise for “more than a week” and that his status for Sunday’s game against the Lakers is to be determined. Korver, who hopes to play, aggravated the injury Friday against the Clippers. He also said it was different than the inflammation in his right foot that caused him to miss time last year, per Vardon.
In 24 minutes off the bench against the Clippers, Korver was 0-4 from the field.
If Korver is to miss Sunday’s game (or any additional time), Cleveland is going to be shorthanded on the wing. Both Cedi Osman and Rodney Hood are going to miss Sunday’s game with injuries they suffered against the Clippers. Even if Korver is not at a 100 percent, his availability will only help the Cavs. If he misses the game, expect minutes increases for J.R. Smith, Jeff Green and/or Jordan Clarkson.
Per Vardon, Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said two-way player John Holland will play whether Korver plays or not.
