Cleveland Cavaliers at Los Angeles Lakers player grades

The Cavs had a stinker in L.A.

NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers at Los Angeles Lakers Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Here are the player grades for the Cleveland Cavaliers 127-113 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers:

Jose Calderon: B+

Calderon did a pretty good job on Isaiah Thomas in the first half and was one of the few Cavs to not be a total disaster. Maybe he didn’t get the invite to Tristan Thompson’s birthday party.

George Hill: B+

While his defense could have been better, Hill wasn’t one of the Cavs biggest problems on the night.

Larry Nance Jr.: B

Nance was a mess on defense, but was also asked to do too much against Brook Lopez. With the depleted roster, there simply weren’t better options available.

Kyle Korver: B

It was a good performance by Korver, but not enough to lift the team.

Ante Zizic: B-

A career-high 15 points for Zizic on 7-9 shooting. He did a good job on the boards as well, but looked like a rookie big man on the defensive end.

LeBron James: C+

We got a few great highlights from LeBron. But overall his effort fell short and was non-existent on the defensive end.

John Holland: C

A couple threes and nearly 20 minutes for the Canton Charge guard. March Cavs basketball!

Jeff Green: F

There will be a time where the Cavs don’t need Green to be a significant contributor in their rotation. Unfortunately, today was not that day.

Jordan Clarkson: F

Sunday. Jordan. Clarkson.

J.R. Smith: F

Sunday. J.R. Smith.
