Kyle Korver will stay in the starting lineup as the Cavaliers take on the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night. Head coach Tyronn Lue confirmed the news at morning shootaround.
Korver started over JR Smith on Tuesday night in the Cavs’ 129-107 win over Phoenix. He scored 22 points and connected on five three-pointers. There was some drama around Smith’s benching as he said that Lue texted him to tell him the news, rather than having a face-to-face conversation.
The Cavs face a tough test as Portland comes into tonight’s game on a 10-game win streak. The Cavs will certainly be undersized, as the team said Larry Nance Jr. will miss the game. That means the only true big suiting up will be Ante Zizic as the Cavs look to contain Jusuf Nurkic.
