Cleveland Cavaliers at Portland Trail Blazers player grades

Cavaliers can’t wait to get out of the West Coast after this tough road trip.

NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers at Portland Trail Blazers Jaime Valdez-USA TODAY Sports

A valiant effort from Cleveland, but not enough against the soaring Blazers.

LeBron James: A

35 points, 14 rebounds and six assists? The tough missed layup at the end dropped this from an A+ to an A.

Kyle Korver: A-

Korver continues to be an effective Robin to LeBron’s Batman, with so many players out.

Jordan Clarkson: B

While his three-point shot wasn’t falling, Clarkson still managed to fill out the box score.

Jeff Green: B-

Green had a bounce-back game, but was still a minus-9 for the night.

George Hill: C

Hill’s lack of aggressiveness as a scorer continues to be frustrating.

John Holland: C

Holland was one of two players that didn’t finish with a negative plus/minus. That has to count for something, right?

Rodney Hood: C-

Hood returned from injury, but didn’t have much of a positive effect on the team in his 18 minutes tonight.

J.R. Smith: C-

Three shot attempts in 27 minutes? Smith wasn’t engaged tonight and it led to a team-worst minus-10.

Ante Zizic: D

Zizic’s box score had zero’s across the line, except for two blocks. The Cavaliers’ biggest player on the active roster has to have a bigger impact right now.
