In their last game of the regular season, the Cavs will be down a few bodies.
During his pregame media availability Tuesday, Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said that Kevin Love, Kyle Korver and Rodney Hood are out for Wednesday’s game against the Knicks. The Cavs will start a lineup of George Hill, Cedi Osman, LeBron James, Jeff Green and Larry Nance Jr. Lue also said Green “could be” questionable.
Hood is missing his second straight game with Achilles soreness. Love has a sore right hip, while Korver is still dealing with a sore right foot.
One player who will play — LeBron James — may not play that long. Lue said that he tried to have James sit out, but he didn’t want to sit as he looks to play 82 games for the first time in his career. Lue did say that once James hits double-digit points — and keeps his streak of double digit scoring games intact — he is likely to come out. That streak is currently at 872 games.
