For the second year in a row, the Cleveland Cavaliers will face the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the NBA playoffs. The Pacers have been one of the more surprising stories of the season, as Victor Oladipo and their balanced game have the team in a better position than Paul George did last year.
The schedule for the first round match up is as follows:
Game 1: Indiana Pacers at Cleveland Cavaliers: April 15 at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC
Game 2: Indiana Pacers at Cleveland Cavaliers: April 18 at 7 p.m. ET on TNT
Game 3: Cleveland Cavaliers at Indiana Pacers: April 20 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN
Game 4: Cleveland Cavaliers at Indiana Pacers: April 22 at 8:30 p.m. ET on TNT
*Game 5: Indiana Pacers at Cleveland Cavaliers: April 25 at TBD
*Game 6: Cleveland Cavaliers at Indiana Pacers: April 27 at TBD
*Game 7: Indiana Pacers at Cleveland Cavaliers April 29 at TBD
The Cavs will have three days off before the first game of the series, and play only one game over the next six days. This is a blessing, as the team has not had any game time as a complete unit and could probably use some practice. In addition to that, it’ll also help players that are older are banged up get some much needed rest.
The winner of this series will go on to face the winner of the series between the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards. Assuming everything goes as expected, the match up deja vu may extend beyond this round.
