The Cavs are down another point guard tonight against the Wizards.
According to the team, Jose Calderon will miss Thursday’s game with a sore left hamstring. The team already down George Hill, who continues to sit out with an ankle sprain. Calderon’s hamstring first became an issue on Tuesday after he scored 19 points in the Cavs’ win against the Raptors. He received treatment after the game, but was still sore this morning after shootaround.
With Calderon - who has started in Hill’s place - and Hill out, the Cavs are thin at point guard. Jordan Clarkson and two-way player London Perrantes are the only point guards currently healthy on the roster.
It’s also unclear who Tyronn Lue will start in Calderon’s place. Clarkson is an option, but he would elect to keep him in the bench role he’ll play in the playoffs and start an extra guard - either J.R. Smith or Korver - next to Rodney Hood in the backcourt.
