The Cavaliers have signed forward Okaro White to a contract for the remainder of the season, per a press release from the organization.
White signed a 10-day contract with the Cavs back on March 18, but did not appear in a game. Previously this season, he played in six games for the Miami Heat. After breaking his foot, however, he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks and released.
Last season in the G League, White was an All-Star with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, averaging 18.4 points and 8.7 rebounds.
With one spot remaining on their roster, there are a couple of options for Cleveland as the playoffs are just a week away. They could sign one of their players on two-way contracts (John Holland and London Perrantes), or go after another veteran.
The Wine and Gold round out the regular season with a home-and-home series against the New York Knicks on Monday and Wednesday.
