Perrantes, 23, appeared in 14 games with the Cavs this season and was around the team throughout its playoff run, often working out with assistant coaches, fellow two-way player John Holland, Okaro White and Cedi Osman before games. With the Canton Charge in the G-League, Perrantes played in 35 games (all starts) and averaged 11.8 points and 7.8 assists per game while shooting 37.8 percent from the field and 30.7 percent from three.
Being waived means Perrantes is free to sign with any other team, but it’s also possible he’ll play with the Cavs at summer league in July.
