Kevin Love signed a long-term contract extension with the Cavaliers on Tuesday morning, and did so at Quicken Loans Arena in front of the organization and construction crews working on The Q Transformation project.
The deal is reportedly for four-years, $120 million. Per cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon, there is no player option and no no-trade clause in the contract.
With the extension, Love will undoubtedly be the face of the franchise going forward without LeBron James.
“I’m just very excited, obviously humbled,” Love said at The Q on Tuesday morning. “I’d like to thank the Cleveland Cavaliers organization, Dan Gilbert, obviously Koby [Altman] for having that trust in me and believing in our future. When I got traded here a few years back, I was committed to being here long term. I was committed to our culture, excellence in playing the game of basketball. And I think who we have on our team and who we have moving forward really reflects that.”
It’s time to go to WORK!
