When the Cavs’ 2019 season kicks off in October, their home will be open again after a summer of renovations.
In a release sent out by the team on Tuesday, Quicken Loans Arena is set to re-open in October ahead of the Cavs’ season and the fall slate of events at the arena. The project will be fully completed in October 2019. Among the projects expected to be completed for the 2018 season opener is the new entrance on the south side of the arena.
In October, the Cavs play on Oct. 6, 8, 21, 24, 27 and 30.
Additionally, the team announced that owner Dan Gilbert and the Cavs organization are committing another $45 million of private funds towards the Q renovation project.
After the 2018-19 season ends, the arena will be closed again for crews to complete the project.
