The Cavs will have a representative at All-Star weekend after all.
Cavs forward Cedi Osman will playing on Team World in the Rising Stars game on All-Star Friday night. Osman will be the lone Cavalier playing in the game, as neither Collin Sexton or Ante Zizic were selected.

This is a great thing for Osman, who is currently playing the best basketball of his career over the last five games or so. It’ll also be a cool team for Osman to play on, as he’ll be on the same as the likes of Luka Doncic, Ben Simmons and OG Anunoby. It’ll also be coached by one of the best international players ever in Dirk Nowitzki.
As for Sexton, it is possible he could be selected if a player or two drops out. For one, Lakers guard Lonzo Ball was selected for Team USA, but has an ankle injury and it’s unlikely that he’ll be healthy enough to play on All-Star weekend. Team USA is coached by Celtics guard, and ex-Cavalier, Kyrie Irving.
The Rising Stars game takes place on Friday, Feb. 15. Tipoff is at 9 p.m. and airs on TNT.
