Larry Nance headed to the locker room after drawing a foul in the first quarter of Cavaliers-Pacers with a knee injury, and it appears he won’t be returning.
The Cavaliers announced that Nance would miss the remainder of the game that quickly turned into yet another home beatdown. Ultimately, it’s hard to get particularly worried about one player that isn’t Kevin Love when the Cavaliers are this bad.
The team has been injury ravaged, especially in their frontcourt, and Nance has been a rare bright spot. Ideally he won’t miss much time, but nothing has been able to stop the team from getting wrecked during their recent homestand.
Ante Zizic did return after missing the last stretch of games, so the Cavaliers should have a little frontcourt help in the short term. For the Pacers game, though, it doesn’t appear to matter much.
The Cavaliers are set to head on the road for a six-game road trip, where things almost surely will not turn around.
