Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Chicago Bulls gamethread

It’s the first time the two teams’ young guard are matching up.

Because the Bulls are in the Cavs’ division, Coby White is going to be a regular opponent for Cleveland over the next several years. White gets up shots, plays really fast and has a great afro. He’s fun. And it’s even more fun that the Cavs have their own two young guards in Collin Sexton and Darius Garland to battle white.

Chicago, at least in theory, is a little bit further along its timeline than Cleveland. It’s a group that is still struggling some this year, but has Zach LaVine, Otto Porter and Lauri Markkanen already more established than the Cavs’ youth. Kevin Love is probably the best player on either team right now, but the Bulls have better roster talent.

Still, seeing young guards go against each other should be fun. Unlike Sexton and Garland, though, White is not a starter for his squad. That limits some of the time he’ll play against the Cavs’ duo, but there should be some head-to-head moments. It might just serve as a preview what to come.
