Cup of Cavs for Feb. 7, 2019: Happy deadline day!

It should be fun.

NBA: Playoffs-Indiana Pacers at Cleveland Cavaliers David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Either schedule a REALLY late lunch or conveniently have a call or use the bathroom around 3 p.m. today because it’s trade deadline day and it might get crazy.

Take of the day

With the Alec Burks trade, the Cavs have done their big move if I had to guess. Maybe Koby Altman has something else up his sleeve, and based on the Cavs’ roster, there will need to be moves between now and the start of next season. But unless the right opportunity presents itself, Altman should feel good about this being his body of work. He got the Cavs another first-round pick and has them well positioned to finish near or at the top of the lottery odds.

The hard part comes next, but Altman has set himself up well for it.

ICYMI — news and notes from yesterday

Adios, Alec Burks

Maya Moore is sitting out 2019 (a huge oversight that I did not include this yesterday)

Tobias Harris (and Boban!) are now 76ers. Shouts to Woj for breaking this at 2:30 a.m. or so.

AD won’t play until after the deadline

The Pistons and Bucks swapped disappointing lottery picks

Otto Porter Jr. is now a Bull

Harrison Barnes got traded in the middle of the game

The Wizards and Pelicans completed a trade

What to read Today

Thought it was written before the 76ers-Clippers deal, and a lot of other stuff, SB Nation’s Paul Flannery’s primer will have you ready for deadline day
