For those wondering/keeping tabs on how the Cavs will honor Kobe Bryant, there will be a pre-game moment of silence and a video after the end of the first quarter.
The game itself is also going to be interesting. With Darius Garland out, John Beilein says that Dante Exum will start with Collin Sexton in the backcourt. This will be Exum’s first start with the Cavs and an interesting fit for him. Right now, he’s probably a better passer than Garland, but a worse shooter. How that impacts the startling lineup will be interesting to see, as will Beilein adjusts his rotation.
It’ll also be interesting to see what the Cavs’ energy level is like on this second half of a back-to-back. The starters didn’t log unusually heavy minutes, but it’s still a second game in two days. That’ll likely have some impact.
Also: Zion Williamson is playing in this one. That alone is a reason enough to watch.
