First and foremost, I hope that everyone in our community — whether you live in Cleveland, somewhere else in Ohio or somewhere else entirely — is staying safe right now amid the coronavirus concerns. That matters more than anything else right now, more than Cavs basketball or anything else going on right now.
With that in mind, I just want to let everyone know what Fear the Sword isn’t going to be going anywhere while the NBA season is on hiatus. As much as we can, our plan to provide articles and roundtables and whatever else we can to give you something that isn’t coronavirus related to consume. That content could be related to this season or the past or, in all likelihood, a mix of both.
I’d also like to hear from you. If there’s something you’d like to see us do, let us know below or email me at fearthesword@sbnation.com.
The other thing I’d like to try and do is try and help the Cleveland community in some way. Maybe we can’t reach the levels Kevin Love or Dan Gilbert are, but I’d like to try and help anyway. I have a few charities in mind, but if anyone has suggestions, drop them below or email me.
To recap: We aren’t going anywhere and I’d like to try and help people during this crazy, crazy time that is impacting every single member of society. And please, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are better working as a community than when we aren’t.
