In a wackier simulation, we see the Portland Trail Blazers jumping from playoff contender to the number one pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. With that pick, the Blazers would likely try and trade out and build around an already promising roster. But, if they didn’t, they perfect fit for them would actually be Auburn’s Isaac Okoro. After that, it puts the Cavs in an awkward position since they cannot rely on other teams picking ahead of them. In this scenario, the Cavs would go best player available and that would mean they select LaMelo Ball with the second pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
