For starters, the Cleveland Cavaliers have to hope tonight’s game goes much better than last time out against the New Orleans Pelicans. The good news is that Darius Garland is expected back in the lineup.
Against the Atlanta Hawks, the Cavs are also getting an opponent who they’ve beaten this year before. In case you need a refresher on what happened and, more specifically, how it ended:
The game probably won’t be this fun or end as dramatically as last time around. But with Garland back, plus Kevin Love and Larry Nance Jr., Cleveland should, in theory, be more interesting to watch and better on the court. Or, at least, heading in that direction.
Cavs expected starters: Darius Garland, Collin Sexton, Isaac Okoro, Kevin Love, Jarrett Allen
Hawks expected starters: Trae Young, Tony Snell, Kevin Huerter, Danilo Gallinari, John Collins
Cavs injuries: Taurean Prince (shoulder), Matthew Dellavedova (appendix surgery), Andre Drummond (not with team)
Hawks injuries: Onyeka Okongwu, Clint Capela, De’Andre Hunter, Kris Dunn
