On Monday afternoon the Cleveland Cavaliers announced that forward Larry Nance Jr. will be out against Toronto due to a fractured right thumb.
Nance suffered the injury during the fourth quarter on Sunday night against the Washington Wizards. The team says that he will be re-evaluated on a daily basis while undergoing rehab. There is no official timeline for his return to game action.
Nance wasn’t the only one that showed up on the injury report after Sunday’s game. Guards Matthew Dellavedova and Lamar Stevens will be out against Toronto as will center Isaiah Hartenstein.
Hartenstein and Stevens both experienced concussion symptoms following the loss to the Wizards, while Dellavedova suffered a sprain neck that will keep him on the sideline. The team also announced that Dellavedova also received four stitches during Sunday’s game.
This quartet of players will join guard Collin Sexton and forwards Taurean Prince and Dylan Windler as out. Prince and Windler are both out for the season after undergoing surgeries.
