According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cleveland Cavaliers are signing for Mifondu Kabengele to a multi-year deal. The final two years of the contract are non-guaranteed.

Kabengele, 23, started his career with the Clippers after playing for Florida State. He signed his first 10-day deal with the Cavs on April 10 and then his second on April 21. The deal he signed with Cleveland keeps him on the team for the last stretch of games and then at least keeps him on the roster into training camp next year. It’s also possible they could use his low salary number as a non-guaranteed salary in a trade over the summer.

With the Cavs, Kabengele has appeared in six games, averaging 2.8 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7.6 minutes per game. His role has primarily been to be roster depth and play in garbage time. But it’s possible that he’ll see more minutes towards the end of the season if/when other players get time off.
