Collin Sexton’s third NBA season came to an early end on Sunday.
In the third quarter of the Cavs’ season finale against the Nets, Sexton was called for a flagrant 2 foul while driving against Nets forward Kevin Durant. Sexton was attacking the rim and struck Durant in the face with his elbow. Here’s the video of the foul:

Sexton 16 points on 5-11 shooting to go with 5 assists in 20 minutes on Sunday. This is a bummer of a way for Sexton to end his third season, but you can see how this call gets made with ease. His elbow came up in a way that hit Durant square in the face and it wasn’t a basketball move. Sexton would probably argue that the foul was a basketball move because he was trying to get his off arm in position to shield the ball and that the face hit was inadvertent. Still: You hit someone in the face clean, you’re probably getting ejected.
