With two hours to go until free agency, the Cleveland Cavaliers have locked up one of their franchise cornerstones in Jarrett Allen. According to NBA Insider Marc Stein, the Cavs will sign Allen to an extension “in the range of” $100 million over the next five seasons.
The Cavaliers are preparing an offer in the five-year, $100 million range to center Jarrett Allen, league sources say. Strong signals that Cleveland will re-sign the RFA Allen to pair him with Evan Mobley.

According to sources, the Cavaliers wanted to lock up Allen in free agency as soon as possible. The fear is they would lose Allen in free agency as they faced stiff competition from the Toronto Raptors and Dallas Mavericks. Thankfully, Cleveland locked up one of their franchise cornerstones and are set at the five for years to come.
