We saw some high level basketball last night as the Cleveland Cavaliers won their second straight game over the Boston Celtics. Following up an impressive win last week with another last night is remarkable for a team that has spent so little time together.
The first sip
Let’s take a closer look at some of the Cavs’ best sequences from yesterday’s win.
Darius Garland was able to get his first three to go of the game which was nice to see on his first game back from the eye injury. He made his first four triples.
The bench absolutely couldn’t believe Kevin Love finished this dunk.

Mitchell didn’t have his most efficient offensive game, but he stepped up big when the Cavs needed it most as he scored nine points on four straight possessions in the final two and a half minutes of regulation. Here’s a look at all of those makes.
Maybe the most fun sequence of the season so far. Jarrett Allen got a block on Marcus Smart which led to a fast-break alley oop from Garland to Mitchell which set the tone for the entire overtime.
This was a simple but effective ATO design from J.B. Bickerstaff. Allen goes to set a screen to get Smart off of Garland, Grant Williams gets ready to switch onto Garland but Allen slips the screen and gets a wide open dunk to make it a two possession game.
The second sip
Here’s some of the best postgame quotes and clips.

Garland’s comeback earned him the Junk Yard Dawg chain.

Going through that injury sounds absolutely awful. Fortunately, it wasn’t as bad as Garland initially thought it was.
The rehab process also sounds weird and frustrating in a unique way.
After a few hours to reflect, everyone still seemed pretty shocked that the 52-year-old Love could actually dunk in game.
