NBA: Playoffs-New York Knicks at Cleveland Cavaliers David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

The first sip

Sunday’s NBA slate had two games directly impacted by charges. There was Ja Morant getting hurt when Anthony Davis took a charge on a Morant drive. And then Giannis got hurt with Kevin Love (who looked good for Miami, by the way) stepping in.

I personally would ban the charge. It is is a risky play that puts players in danger for no real reason. I know it would make offense even easier for teams. But the charge is a really dangerous play that, if eliminated, wouldn’t change what basketball is. And maybe two of the NBA’s biggest stars wouldn’t be hurt just as the playoffs start.

Tankathon spin

I could mess with this outcome. The Spurs feel like a good home for Wemby, the Wizards get a real chance to reset and the Magic can add another young star to their core.
