Something worth noting coming out of Game 1: The Cleveland Cavaliers’ work on the defensive glass was one of the worst rebounding performances of the entire year. By the percentage of of offensive rebounds given up (43.2%, per Cleaning The Glass), that would have been the third-highest rate any opponent had against the Cavs all year.
Now, that might mean the Cavs are going bounce back in Game 2. Game 1 could be a real extreme on that front. But the Cavs have also been a poor rebounding team and the Knicks a very good offensive rebounding team. So was Game 1 just a sign of what’s to come?
